History
The most important impulse for organizing this Seminar was a great communication with the British Council in Prague during 1993-1995 SFS. This cooperation helped to introduce British films and British directors (T. Gilliam, L. Anderson, K. Loach etc.).
The first Seminar was realized in winter 1995 and was dedicated to Derek Jarman work recommended by Peter Greenaway. From then on, every year one or two british directors (see the list below) were introduced. From 1997, due to a rising number of visitors and an extensing program, previews of Project 100 films or new Czech films were included (Kzytice, Zapomenuté světlo, Mazaný Filip, etc.). In 2004, the portraits of British directors were replaced by a cycle focused on cooperation and influence of film and music, theatre, etc.
